I was using this among other local pantries a few years ago. Seeing the recent reviews brought back my experiences. My phrase for it is "rough around the edges.' The pantries push us where we are vulnerable. Maybe you are doing us a favor, but it's demeaning to treat us that way. Now I may need to return again. And I dread it.

I recently went to this food pantry to donate non-perishables. I made an appointment online and arrived on time. I was greeted with a hostile attitude and no help to even hold the door open for me to drop off my donations. The volunteer looked at my boxes of food and tried to find fault in everything I dropped off, one was valid but she seemed to not even want my food. If she is looking to volunteer I would suggest it is somewhere where she is not interacting with people down on their luck because she will ruin their day. I will NEVER donate here again.

I went to Interfaith in July and was refused the food.I left work the night before did not sleep and drove straight to Interfaith to get some food for my family.I drove 15 mins to get there and waited almost an hour. When it was my turned I was refused the food I was told I had to return in 4 days. Can you imagine refusing food to a family in need?Asking me to come back in 4 days? That was my only day off.Why could'nt the staff give me the food on that day,I really thought Interfaith was there to help the needy and the poor but I guess I was wrong. Also one of the staff was rude and hostile to me.That's not the first time I went before my date and I've never had an issue.

I waited in line for 40 minutes to be turned away as I haven't used the pantry in over a year and they are not recertifying anyone until December. I went their for help feeding my kids and embarrassed leaving empty handed. The system is broken. I called and spoke to Rick the director and all he said was I am sorry! Do better people

They are so rude and condescending! A time ago I went there and because of health reasons asked if they could leave certain "foods" (white bread, cakes and pies) from my bag because I didn't want it to go to waste and the manager loudly snapped at me in front of everyone, "This is a charity, not a supermarket!" I was never so humiliated in such a vulnerable position before. So now I gladly go to Germantown Neighborhood Center where the food choices are much healthier, they allow you to select what you need, and they always treat you with dignity and respect.

I use the food pantry once a month they are so helpful and always blessing the residents of quincy, Braintree and Milton. The food pantry is once a month and you must be a resident. They will ask you for your info one time sigh you up is best if you call ahead to sigh up and then after you go once a month. They will also provide you with toiletries, diapers, wipes. Note is a few weeks supply of food. They will place the food in the car for you be greatful and thank them for their help.
